Agile is about being able to respond to change quickly by delivering value sooner.
Scrum is a gimmick invented to sell scrum courses. It's an easy-to-understand framework for convincing managers that their teams are agile, but I've never seen it work in practice.
Some of the scrum practices - such as daily strandups - can be extremely valuable for software teams. Standups, for example, are an opportunity for alignment, or more accurately, for correcting misalignment. And like all practices, they can be practiced badly.
