SEEKING FREELANCER | Cyprus | REMOTE We are looking for a PostgreSQL expert to help us optimise our database operations, in particular our database performance, and maintenance and backup strategies. Stack - Django - Postgres We currently deploy our applications to on-premise servers fully managed by us. As is often the case, our application is a prototype-turned-production-ready as we grew and established ourselves in the market over the last 5 years. Listening to customer feedback we've been adding and removing features and we are long overdue in reflecting on our code quality and in particular, how we treat our database. Our most pressing need is to optimise our database (tables, indexes, queries) in order to increase application performance (faster queries) and reduce system requirements (we sometimes see 100% CPU utilisation when performing certain queries). We know where the issues are, but we don't have the time (or skills) to fix them well. If you have Postgres experience in critical business environments and have resolved these kind of issues in the past, feel free to contact me via email (my username at gmail.com) Thanks N
