100Mbps UP will never happen because large uploads are considered undesirable. Providers want us to consume not produce content.
- bluedino 6y agoUsage patterns don't make sense to allocate bandwidth equally for up/down.
- Jonnax 6y agoWell I'm sitting here with my 1000/1000 internet connection and I couldn't be happier. I'm always amazed how users will demand less for their money.

- kradroy 6y ago"[Old] Usage patterns don't make sense to allocate bandwidth equally for up/down." In the past 5 years the amount of video and streaming (pre-recorded and live) has exploded. And remote/WFH culture is advancing. It's time for US internet providers to catch up.
- josho 6y agoSure, but we are seeing more services that benefit from faster upload. Eg. Video conferencing, cloud storage. So we have more use cases than ever before that benefit from symmetric speeds.
