I went to disable the online presence indicator for my Reddit account and the "use new reddit" option was magically enabled when I have only been using "old reddit". Has anyone else experienced this? I wonder if they are trying to push additional users to new reddit or if it was an anomaly with my account.

- wyldfire 6y agoI have had "Don't show thumbnails next to links" set in my preferences since forever. But some years back (prior to new reddit IIRC), it kept getting re-enabled somehow, without any preference changes on my part. I think Hanlon's razor [1] probably applies.
