- gwbas1c 6y agoIt's actually a very important piece of news. The Nazi movement was originally a far-right movement that spread propaganda that worked exactly like the article claims. They preyed on people's fears. Just look up old anti-Semitic propaganda and you'll see the same techniques employed by the far-right on Facebook. This isn't just a case of the usual disagreements between people who lean a little left or a little right at the ballot box.
- krapp 6y agoYou can literally substitute "Antifa", "BLM" or "the left" with "the Jews" in modern right-wing online dialogue and it would absolutely fit right in under Nazi Germany. They secretly control politics and the media to further their own agenda. They are sociopaths incapable of morality because they reject God. They molest children and perform secret blood rituals. They hate white men, Christians and patriots. I mean, how often do we see the phrase, almost verbatim, that BLM "literally burns entire cities to the ground?" That cancel culture, or feminism, or progressivism, will inevitably lead to mass violence and that when it comes, the SJWs/feminists/progressives will deserve it? That x paper, y site or z social media platform is pushing a "radical Marxist agenda?" That "Cultural Marxism" (a literal Nazi conspiracy theory) is infesting academia? It's literally the same playbook, the same ratcheting up of the fear and hatred of an enemy within, and they're not even being that discreet about it, or the implications they want people to read. Implications that lead to events like the Capitol insurrection. ...which propagandists are still claiming was nothing but a few miscreants taking selfies and strolling around harmlessly, despite the actual words from the actual insurrectionists making it clear that they were out for violence and war[0]. What it really was, was America's Kristallnacht. But we can't talk about that because it would be partisan, so let's just ignore it.
