I dont understand why its even a debate. If the creator didnt allow you to use his software, its theft.
Sure, there are methods to actually mitigate and make good use of piracy, but then, it effectively become free-to-use-unless-for-business/enterprise model of business. And that should be something that the owner decide, not the user.
- barnabee 6y agoNo. Stealing implies taking something and depriving its oriignal owner of it not copying against the wishes of the creator. Whatever piracy is, it isn't theft.
- bobbean 6y agoIf I sneak into a museum (one you would have to pay for) and look at all the art they have on display, but otherwise don't leave a trace, am I stealing?
