Why Monstera toxic to cats?
The Swiss cheese plant or the monstera plant contains insoluble calcium oxalate crystals that penetrate the tissues of the cat’s mouth and cause high discomfort. Most cats will only take a bite of the plant and then will lose interest due to its bad taste. Although it takes only one bite, just one bite is enough to cause this condition.
