DDD has the same foundation as Agile: Complex problems (domains) require explorative and iterative aproaches (like science always did), complicated or simple domains don't need that. And if you don't know the problem - then don't start doing anything. If you don't understand yourself well enough and cannot isolate a logical model, than stop, too. For me, that's both timeless wisdom, and nothing special.
