The bottom of this page says: "All images copyright Nasa/JPL-Caltech"
But I thought all works created by the US federal government are public domain and not protected by copyright?
Famously the "Blue Marble" photo is not under copyright and reproduced all over the place: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Blue_Marble https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Blue_Marble
- Denvercoder9 6y agoThat's probably just a mistake from the BBC. The original source [1] just says "image credit" NASA/JPL-Caltech, not copyright. [1] https://mars.nasa.gov/mars2020/multimedia/raw-images/ https://mars.nasa.gov/mars2020/multimedia/raw-images/
