We just deleted all our labs data because a colleague didn't get that you had to unmount and destroy the existing (benchmark) zpool to create a new one when finally setting up some new drives. Didn't ask for help or anything but went straight to "fix" it with `nvme format` on the raw devices. Hope the backup works at this point (that's the other colleague who accused me of paranoia when I mentioned 2FA with yubikeys for admins and then silently removed his smart outlet from the network once I ran a powercycle on it...).
