I think third point is more on not despising new tech, but I agree we should also remember not to do the same to old tech. I learned a lot with Forth, which is older than me. While that is true, I can't also deny that Rust improves a lot on embedded development and is newer. While I can argue that using Forth or C is possible and simpler/easier, the lesson seems to be that ignoring Rust isnt a good idea. IMO its like you can keep using raw CSS instead of the latest hype, but the key is not to ignore and always evaluate new things with the same care as you did to old ones. :) (at least that is how I understood it)
