However, EVs have a long way to go before it becomes affordable for every class of citizens. You also cannot compare the public transportation occupancy in off-peak hours to EV occupancy. They haul orders of magnitude more people during peak hours. Also, they cost less to maintain when you look at the infrastructure (roads and highways etc.)
