The sea of sciences is vast, and the ones vying for our attention on a daily basis is overwhelming. What you're saying sounds easy for the well-read individuals on HN, but the masses need a trustworthy authority to do the work for them, and knowing what we do of Governments I wouldn't trust them either.
- ironmagma 6y agoAn authority telling people what to think? That sounds an awful lot like religion. I think we need to make up our mind which we want: education to make actually sure people understand science, or to go back to the ways of religion. It’s clear that the middle ground is not working.
