Ask HN: What’s your favourite local website?
Are there any local websites specific to your town/city that you use on a regular basis? For example, for finding restaurants, things to do, or upcoming events?
- rocketpastsix 6y agohttps://nashvillescene.com https://nashvillescene.com is my go to. Has good reporting on things that interest me, as well as ads for upcoming events all in one place.
- heymrli 6y agoWherever I've lived, it's always been the local city newspaper/magazine's websites.
- kleer001 6y agoMy local area subreddit probably doesn't count. But that's the closest I can get. /r/city /r/state
- LarryMade2 6y agoThis is one I've been casually working on for the past 8 years, it's kind of tough to keep it up to date till the pandemic relents. https://doplaces.com https://doplaces.com (if you want to see what events/notices are like, go to events click on the date on top and set the calendar back to around 2017-2019
- quickthrower2 6y agoTimeout for my city. A local suburb site I sometimes look at Other sites for thinks like walks I find via Google but I guess that doesn’t count!
