I personally doubt the value of vaccination in the covid case where ~98% of the cases are pretty easily dealt with at home by most people's healthy immune system. I will not take it.
If you want to be safe: sure take it, but it's a mechanism for self protection.
As I read the policy, expressing this point of view would not cause my tweet to be labeled. I could be wrong. Because on the other hand, it could be taken as a call for not getting vaccinated. I'm guessing that makes it a candidate in your view.
Content moderation is hard, and it seems there's always the danger of subjectivity.
- upbeat_general 6y agoThere’s value because if enough people take it then covid won’t spread. 500k people died from something that could have been stopped had we had the vaccine at the start (obviously that wasn’t going to happen), but we can prevent more transmission and more deaths. Just because you feel confident that you won’t be in the 2% doesn’t mean you have no responsibility to reduce the likelihood that you’ll give it to others
- jswny 6y agoSo you would really not take the vaccine, a simple short procedure that happens in two parts, just because you think it personally wouldn’t help you? Have you considered the fact that you taking it would help others? Or do you not care about others? Do you not wear a mask as well? Because those are for the protection of others too. Be a decent person and get vaccinated.
- gurleen_s 6y agoWhy take that chance when you can kill it with an incredibly simple vaccine?
- raarts 6y agoI already had it. Nature vaccinated me.
