Do not miss posts from your favorite people on HN
Hi folks,
I wrote a browser extension that highlights/tags the posts from your favorite HN’ers.
Go to the profile of someone and assign a tag to the user. All future posts from that user will be marked/tagged on HN going forward. It is super easy and will help you follow your favorite people in HN.
Chrome: https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/social-cat/hhiomokjlngphblpfnccjckmkcpjjfmb
Firefox: https://addons.mozilla.org/tr/firefox/addon/social-cat/
Cheers
- eat_veggies 6y agoThis would be better as a Show HN post :) P.S. I built something very similar years ago: https://github.com/veggiedefender/hn-friends https://github.com/veggiedefender/hn-friends
- crazypython 6y agoThis would be better as a site (not a chrome extension– too much friction) that lets you follow your favorite HN users and see their posts, filtering by score optionally. "Favoriting" a comment or HN post on HN ( a native HN feature ) could automatically follow the user. Just enter your username and go.
- giantg2 6y agoI guess I'm a pessimist, but won't this help people put you on a list so that they can find your posts/comments to grudge-downvote you?
- muzani 6y agoMost sites with voting have some mechanism to detect and prevent that behavior. HN has some clever features so I'd be surprised if they don't.
