The Amoral Atheist?
- shams93 6y agoI see more amorality with supposedly highly religious people. I got screwed super hard by a group of bible thumping midwest business people. There's always excuses that can be made like Jesus hates Californians therefore trying to kill and rob one will get you into heaven.

I think two separate processes account for this appearance: (1) The prominence of religion in our society makes religion a very useful cover for amoral manipulators to prey on people, but also: (2) There is very little percieved difference between a strong moral system which disregards the things the observer thinks are central to proper morality and amorality.
