Connectors have been bulky and wires thick compared to ethernet.
- wmf 6y agoWhich was just IBM over-engineering. Token ring ran fine on cat5 with RJ45.
- TedDoesntTalk 6y agoThey did shrink the connectors later on and move away from coax. There’s no reason token-ring can’t work over RJ-45 with 4 twisted pairs.
