Question from a point of ignorance - why would you target 32bit for something that is being actively developed?
Are we not at a point where 64bit should be the expected target?
- titzer 6y agoI bootstrapped on the JVM first, and then the first native bootstrap was around 2011. I am almost finished with my x86-64-linux port.
- jcelerier 6y agoWebassembly for instance is a 32 bit target. So are most arm hobby boards (even if hw is 64 bit, they ship with 32 bit OSes)
- eqvinox 6y agoA lot of "IoT" devices are 32bit. And there's no reason for them not to be. (There's 8bit ones too.)
