Once I owned around 3000 movies and 300 discs (music). I digitalized my collection in 2015 and in 2017 made it available via streaming (Plex). I sold the physical copies and got rid of the digital ones (with the exception of 5 movies) last year. I couldn’t be happier. It was a burden to be honest and I never managed to watch more than a couple of times 5% of my collection. I see it as an investment of time and peace of mind for my future self.
