I guess I am in the minority but I appreciate the scrollamated site. I am slow at picking up information and find visual aids super helpful. An image with all the information on it is really busy and doesn't get through to me very well. But if I can "layer on" information at my desired pace of scrolling, it is a lot easier for me to ingest information than maybe a lot of different images where I have to break and rebuild my mental model each time, or a single image where all the information appears and I need to parse it myself. For a slow thinker, this type of "at your own pace" visual guides is pretty nice.
