    At what stage does everyone consider a society complicit in its governments actions, through inaction? Traveling Americans have historically been held accountable, sometimes fatally, for the actions of their Elite. Curious if any traveling Chinese are facing the same kinds of blowback.

    Is there a significant percentage of people in mainland China that don't support the CCP? Unless we're saying there is a hostage situation going on, it seems the majority are at least condoning everything that has been happening. I had a friend in Shanghai and in one conversation she justified and argued with me everything that happened to Tibet and Tibetan monks. I could not understand why she hated MONKS so much, but alas she complained about it and tried to defend the actions at the time.
