Non-profits have been extremely lax with their bookkeeping b/c they aren't taxed. Their immigrant assistant programs are shady and some probably illegal. But w/o auditing its hard to get a conviction. The Roman Catholic Church in the USA relocates/hides priests accused of pedophilia or other sexual activity. That is certainly socially unacceptable and may be criminal yet the Church merely writes it off as an expense. You pay for this with your weekly/monthly tithe/donation to the Church.
