I'm a college student and all my professors have switched to having us launch zoom with our cameras on, and then just watching our faces during the exam.

I decided to use our covid time to go back and finish my degree. My first experience with the current crop of online proctoring software was ProctorU. I cannot even begin to capture in words how much I hated this system. Proctors invasively taking control of my local MacOS system, making tons of changes, often forgetting to return them to the state they were in before the exam. Other time blaming me for the fact that their outdated software that ran on Flash didn't play well with modern browsers... and on and on. When I finally contacted my main institution about how exams were being handled, it was a huge relief to find out they were just using Zoom.
