U.K. gets approval to infect volunteers in world’s first Covid ‘challenge trial’
- vfclists 6y agoI suppose there is little chance of the viruses mutating? Those who know more can help here. Are there any precedents for infecting volunteers with viruses to see how they evolve for the sake of developing vaccines against them?
- LeoNatan25 6y agoMutations are random and need high replication rate to statistically find mutations. I don’t think the few hundred people that would volunteer here is anywhere near enough for mutation requirements.
