What I find most interesting is that in the details they just keep putting a new timestamp on the “We're close to resolving the issue” every few minutes. Not really a helpful status update.
- Terretta 6y agoIs this message dynamically timestamped for ~3 minutes earlier than the page view unless you’ve recently seen it, in which case it’s left the same? - Status - 2/25/2021, 3:15:00 PM - Outage reported - 2/25/2021, 9:11:54 PM - We're close to resolving the issue - Resolution Pending Perhaps purely coincidentally, every time I’ve checked today, and in screenshots from friends, the “We’re close” timestamp has been 3 - 4 minutes earlier than the page visit. I almost replied to you about that when you posted, then thought, surely that can’t be. But it’s happened 4 or 5 more times since, to three people.
- Terretta 6y agoAnd then at 9:32 PM: - Status - 2/25/2021, 3:15:00 PM - Outage reported - 2/25/2021, 9:29:20 PM - All clear - Resolution Pending
- crazydoggers 6y agoToo funny. That appears to be exactly what they are doing. Some exec thinks this makes them look like they are on top of things... when in reality everyone knows it’s stupid but just doesn’t care to say it. Gives me corporate-think flashbacks.
- Terretta 6y ago"we’re close to resolving the issue" Is it just me or does this ping change to whenever you loaded the page? It really annoys me and I was duped when I saw it at 5:30. I checked a few minutes ago and now It says 6:47pm EST. Yeah. You guys are "close to resolving it" huh. — https://reddit.com/r/xbox/comments/lskia2/were_close_to_resolving_the_issue/ https://reddit.com/r/xbox/comments/lskia2/were_close_to_reso... I suppose if analytics show vast majority only check once, it “works”.
