Are Real Estate Broker Commissions Too High?
- jschveibinz 6y agoNo offense to anyone, but this is kind of an article about a non-problem. Fees are negotiable. You can sell your own house. You don’t have to agree to a 6% fee.
- gigatexal 6y agoSelling a house is a convoluted process rife with potential pitfalls which is why a broker is engaged. What I would prefer is a listing site or service that will streamline the whole thing and take 1 or 2 percent instead of the 6.
- sharemywin 6y agoOne thing to remember the buyers realtor gets 3% of that fee. There a flat fee listing services. and they offer photos etc. The other thing is to find out what they are going to do for the 6%. beyond put it on MLS. advertise it on social media? create sales packets? mail postcards? email it to other real estate agents they know? open houses? get professional photos? help with staging? help with pricing?
