I have fond memories of camping near Diablo as a kid. It’s a beautiful area, and being in the shadow of the nuclear power plant kept me on edge. Regardless of any narrative, I’m curious about the actual negative impact Diablo ever really had. I remember San Luis Obispo county activists promising it was going to be the end of the world. It doesn’t seem like their fears came to pass.
