Until the people vote into power people without selfish interests, eliminating regulatory capture, and then implement policy that will strengthen society and democracy - then yes, it will be a problem. It doesn't magically happen via aligning people through a financial incentive like Bitcoin though - the same problem exists of people being left holding the bag. I do think blockchain plays a role, just not like this - not like this.
