Fantastic! I look forward not just to stronger typing, but also the opportunities to optimize based on stronger type information through a numpy heavy workflow.
Also the stride tools are nice.
- leephillips 6y agoI'm not sure how the type annotations can help with optimization (although I could be missing something, and would be glad of an explanation). But, as I explain briefly in the article, they can warn you if you accidentally declare an array of objects rather than primitive types, which would kill performance.
