Future warfare will feature automomous weaponry
- aurizon 6y agoEver see the TED talk about a drone with a shaped charge using it to 'kill' a dummy enemy? Make no bones about it, mikitary all over saw that. They can use a gyrojet type rocket pistol with ~ 15-20 rounds and an aimer. gyrojets use a small spin stabilised cartridge - no barrel, no breech, just a light guide tube. It could easily be made to find people via and eyeball retroreftector target finder - of course, warriors would soon wear goggles, but large numbers of people could be harmed. Each one would weigh under a pound and fly for ~30 minutes, or sit and perch for targets for longer. This is with today's tech - in 20 years ???
