Short answer: yes, as long as I'm unaware I'm an upload. I was mostly trying to make the point how much of our existence is rooted in our senses. Even though we can meditate/daydream/dream/etc, most of it processes experiences already had. I have no idea how a brain without any I/O would contemplate its existence, but I don't think our current psychological models apply.
