Does the raw CPU power matter that much on a phone? Google decided to even go the other way and put in a mid-range chip into their Pixel lineup, eschewing the usual high-end Snapdragon 800 series the Pixels used to have.
- culopatin 6y agoI never cared for the power of the CPU unless that means quicker photo processing. The CPU in my iPhone 12 now acts the same as my GFs 2020 SE or my works XR. All I cared about is not taking bad pictures. Coming from the pixel, it’s not that much different but the success rate is much more stable. With the pixel you never know if the camera will fail that day or not. Or take 10 seconds to open, or 15, or not save the picture.
