The amendments pave the way for Google and Facebook to avoid the code altogether if they can satisfy the government they have struck enough deals outside it.
I doubt this means they’re allowed to strike a deal with every news outlet except Murdoch’s.
- ehnto 6y agoI hope they try. At this point I just want FB, Google, Murdoch and AuGov to collide in an abysmal trainwreck of policy and petulance. None of this has the citizens of Australia in mind at all, so I hope all the companies involved fuck themselves over by accident.
