What does “secular” mean in this context?
- ximeng 6y agoECONOMICS (of a fluctuation or trend) occurring or persisting over an indefinitely long period. "there is evidence that the slump is not cyclical but secular"
- oblio 6y agoI'm guessing it comes from Latin. I'm kind of cheating here but "secular" means something with a duration of a century or more in Romanian ("secol" is a hundred years). So probably something long lived.
