Prehistoric Arrow Bonanza at Langfonne (2020)
- JoeAltmaier 6y agoVery interesting. A peak in artifacts in a time period may mean more hunting occurred during that time. It seems sensible, as animal remains (naturally cast-off antlers) decrease at the same time. But a second factor may be at work: less animals may mean more arrows expended (and potentially lost) when game is scarce and more risk is taken to kill each one. E.g. a difficult shot may be attempted even if the likelihood of a kill is low, resulting in more lost arrows.
