- reedjosh 6y agoTexas energy is traded through ERCOT, an energy market "...governed by a board of directors and subject to oversight by the Public Utility Commission of Texas and the Texas Legislature." http://www.ercot.com/about http://www.ercot.com/about

- reedjosh 6y agoMy point is the Texas energy market is a centralized Texas Legislature governed market. AKA not government-less.
- afterburner 6y agoTexas' goal is as little government as possible. It is going about as well as I'd expect, but obviously you think the solution is even less?? This all started with Texas deliberately ignoring Federal warnings to winterize their energy infrastructure. They went so far as to keep their own grid in order to make the Federal government unable to force them to do something good for the people of Texas.

The energy generation facility will be retired Oct. 31" https://www.austinmonitor.com/stories/whispers/decker-creek-power-station-finally-closing/ https://www.austinmonitor.com/stories/whispers/decker-creek-...
