How DNSimple uses Rails, Erlang and Go to power their domain management service
- nickjj 6y agoThere's only so much I can fit into the title but the TL;DR is they have a monolithic Rails app for their web dashboard, their API uses Ruby and serves millions of daily requests, Erlang powers their nameservers and processes about 5-10k reqs / second or billions of monthly DNS queries. Go glues a few services together and PostgreSQL is their primary database. Most things run across 70+ bare metal servers running in multiple data centers but they do use AWS and Heroku for a few things too.
