Scheme in a Grid
- bjoli 6y agoOne interesting thing about SIOD (scheme in one defun, the scheme used in the app linked) is that it has been rather important: Aubrey Jaffer's SCM implementation is based on it. Guile, in turn, borrows a lot from SCM. I believe script-fu, the scripting used by gimp until quite recently, was just SIOD with some very small changes.
- galfarragem 6y agoIt would be great to have an updated version of this spreadsheet for Windows (or in an alternate world being able to use Scheme inside Excel cells). Somebody looking for a meaningful project could fork it..
- bitwize 6y agoScript-Fu has been based on TinyScheme for quite some years now. It was SIOD originally, though.
- bjoli 6y agoI thought script-fu was deprecated. Today I learned, I guess. TinyScheme is probably a better fit, though!
- anthk 6y agoIf this had Unicode support it would be an interesting alternative. Not everyone needs the humoungous set from LibreOffice/MSOffice. Albeit Groff+Mom plus Magicpoint and sc-im+gnuplot can do miracles with very, very little resources.
- cpach 6y agoAh! Good old Siag. Has anyone used it?
