I do enjoy programming. It's like Legos for adults (though I still own a large Lego collection as an adult too). But I'm also resonating with some of the other negative comments in here as well. I love programing when I'm able to love programming. Years ago, I watched this Dan Goldman RSA talk about motivation (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IhJ4CDCfASI https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IhJ4CDCfASI) and I began actively looking for a job the next day. For me, I've found his three points on motivation to be key: Autonomy, Mastery, and Purpose. When I'm not able to enjoy programming, it's because my employer has violated one or more of these and treating me like a horse.
