Honest question: has anybody ever used category theory to solve a practical problem that couldn’t as easily have been solved with simple algebraic reasoning? I

Honest question: has anybody ever used category theory to solve a practical problem that couldn’t as easily have been solved with simple algebraic reasoning? I have so far read and understood enough category theory to get a feel for whether it is worth spending more time on or not. And my conclusion so far is: nope.
