An ideological orthodoxy has swept Gen Z
- ggm 6y agoDon't trust anyone over 27. How many years ago was that? "Hope i die before I get old" was 1965 (the who) Maybe what I am trying to say is, we've been here, or very close to here before. Also the kind of orthodoxy being attacked is quite different to the kind of orthodoxy being defended. Disrupt everything and shout down opposition is 1968 cultural revolution, and it stems from many things including bad leadership in a crisis. Maybe the underlying problems (cost of housing, jobs fears, climate change) aren't being handled well?
- moistly 6y agoMy goodness, that had all the authenticity and intellectual heft that I’ve come to expect of the NY Post. I especially appreciate his quote from “the great American philosopher Kanye West” and “having a contrarian edge is usually a sign of critical thinking.” Really a quality bit of work there, buckaroo. No, honestly, it was pretty much dreck, comparable to the spew from Canada’s other “great” opinion writers, like the bloviating Rex Murphy, the criminal Conrad Black, the hateful Margaret Wente, the equally hateful Barbara Kay, or the moron named JJ McCullough. Long story short, don’t read Canada’s opinion columnists. They are dreadful.
