I can’t help but be upset and concerned that when the phrase AI ethics is used, it is a reference to the effort to make sure that AIs are, for lack of a better term, politically correct. It is my genuine belief that mining out algorithm space will continue to produce results that are surprising, unexpected and not forecasted by “experts,” and that soon we will strike a very regrettable vein. In my best judgement, the threat of increasingly sophisticated AIs disrupting the economy, geopolitical stability and our very way of life is something that should be given respect.
