- rektide 6y agothis is so frigging cool! thanks for sharing! what a story! it's stunning to me that we're only just now seeing professional vehicles get decent generators/inverters. still waiting for vans to get anything. Ford trucks just got a Pro Power generator rated for either 2.4 or 7.2kW[1] on the hybrid. given the high voltage battery packs in hybrids, building an inverter should be nearly trivial: a couple SiC mosfets & some passives & away one goes. it's pretty embarrassing how little innovation & exploration of this (voltage) potential there's been. especially for all the #vanlife / rv folk, this would make such a night & day difference.
