Thanks for writing this up. I really wish this is just what k8s networking had been from the start.

  It really should have been IPv6 and if you needed IPv4 then you could add an IPv4 ingress or egress controller. Had Kubernetes and/or Docker been IPv6 we wouldn’t even need the overlay networks.
