The problem with that is that modern houses are very well insulated and unfortunately the insulation also traps moisture. If it gets too cold water condensates in the walls and mould can form. 17° in my experience is too cold and poses a risk.

- owlmirror 6y agoIf you have no issues with mold than it's totally fine. It really depends on lot of variables, like outside temperature, humidity in your region, the quality of the insulation and building materials. But given the right (wrong) circumstances too little heating can become a real problem.
