NASA's Perseverance Rover Sends Sneak Peek of Mars Landing
- whalesalad 6y agoStill blows my mind that we shot this thing out into space, it flew through the solar system for 7 whole months and then went through an elaborate series of steps to slow down (from many multiples the speed of sound) and land by way of a giant parachute and a rocket propelled sky-crane. And now it is sending us data and everything just works™ I didn't know about the orbiter until today - that is also really neat. The rover's Cortana in the sky.
