Lets analyze the following statement:
> RTX 3060 software drivers are designed to detect specific attributes of the Ethereum cryptocurrency mining algorithm, and limit the hash rate, or cryptocurrency mining efficiency, by around 50 percent.
Why just Ethereum? This cannot possibly limit the sales of 3060 alone because there are a zillion cryptocurrencies.
People will just use it to mine for other crypto currencies right?.
Also 50% reduction. They wouldn't hardcode this percentage. The number obviously needs to be able to go up to 100% (no limit) and down to 0 - ie block it completely.
This effectively means 2 things:
1. Their detection algorithm is "upgradable". They wouldn't do that just for Ethereum.
2. That they can block any kind of workload they can detect.
Should we allow them to have the power to do that?
