- ryan-duve 6y ago* `site:<domain>` is basically the only way to search a public site for anything. Also, it's great for when you want to restrict searches to TLDs like `.edu` or `.gov`. * Google calculator does units like a champ. * Quotes around a word/words used to mean verbatim match, but for some reason they started allowing synonyms and other spellings to slip in. * If a search result is slow to load, go back to Google and look for the cached version instead. * Figure out how to phrase questions to get zero click answers. Another example: https://www.google.com/search?channel=fs&client=ubuntu&q=when+did+guardians+2+come+out https://www.google.com/search?channel=fs&client=ubuntu&q=whe...
- flave 6y agoI don't know if it's a hack but I spent some time working for big four consultancies and would prep decks which needed logos with transparent backgrounds. You can do a google search for '[company] logo' then click 'tools' then set 'colour' to 'transparent' and that will often throw the logo with a transparent background.
