Fair enough, and fresh this morning I read the whole thing beginning to end, and that level of detail isn't required from your very high level overview of the whole problem. You are also to be congratulated because while you started with the "Texas is bad" narrative like 99.999% of the US Left, you discarded it as soon as your research revealed a different story.
